November 2019 Update

What a horrible October; I feel I am psychologically destroyed, and I am all over the places. Fortunately, I have good news too. 👻

About Life

I will have a new home. It is not my plan A – it is not even my plan B – but is a plan, and, at this point, I needed something to break the cycle of drama I cast upon myself. I am pretty happy about that, but it is not the end; it is just the start.

However, I need to wait for another month. In the meantime, I’ll probably keep freaking out about everything.

This November, I’ll travel to Seville too. So that will be a nice distraction!

About Work

Upcoming Unity Book

I am still waiting for the release date of my Unity book. The fact that Unity overhauled the interface in between Unity 2019.2 and 2019.3 it was really a pain in the ass. I needed to take a new screenshot of a lot of stuff, plus Unity 2019.3 beta does not work on my PC, and therefore, I have no way to make other screenshots (fortunately, the interface is not the main focus there).

This will probably create a small delay, but at least the book will be ready also for Unity 2020.

NaNoWriMo 2019

November will be #NaNoWriMo month. As usual, I have no idea what I want to write. Just yesterday, I had a very high-level idea. I think it is a fun idea but a bit hard to transform into a coherent plot. Oh well… that’s what NaNoWriMo is for.

About the Blog

The only article I have planned for November is for a new series: Marginalia. I collect a lot of notes on the non-fiction books I read. I think it will be interesting to expose some of these notes publicly.

Ah, and you can keep up with my reading on my Goodreads profile. So you may guess what I’ll be talking about.

Other than that, it is hard to write more on NaNoWriMo month but never say never.

Conclusion

October has been meh. November may be better. I hope December will be a new beginning.

I’ll be delighted if you follow this journey with me.

Cheers, Davide Aversa
